Why Coastal cares?

Coastal Cares was built around a simple idea: animals can change the way people feel, even on their hardest days. Our rescue already focuses on saving and rehabilitating reptiles, but we wanted to take that impact further out into the community, to the people who need it most.

 

We created Coastal Cares to:

 

• Bring moments of calm and curiosity to children facing illness, seniors in long-term care, and individuals who benefit from sensory-friendly experiences.

• Use ambassador reptiles as a way to spark interest, reduce stress, and create positive emotional breaks in environments that rarely get them.

• Show the community what rescue work can do beyond adoption. These animals don’t just need homes; they have the ability to give something back and make a real difference in someone’s day.

 

 

Coastal Cares is our outreach arm. The part of Coastal Creatures that steps outside the facility and into hospitals, schools, care homes, and community spaces. It’s where animal rescue meets human connection.
